Anton Schall
Anton Schall (born 22 June 1907 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary, died 5 August 1947 in Zurich, Switzerland)[1] was an Austrian football player. He played as forward for SK Admira Wien and the Austrian national football team.

Club career
He started his career with Leopoldauer SC and Jedlersdorf. 1925 he went to SK Admira Wien. In the last years, the trained striker played as defender. In 1941, Schall ended his playing career. 1927, 1928, 1929, 1931 and 1932 he was five times Austria's top scorer.
International career
From 1927 to 1934 he played 28 international matches for Austria and scored 27 goals. He was part of the so-called miracle team and was the most successful goalscorer in their era from 1931 to 1933 with 20 goals in 16 games. In 1934 Anton Schall took part FIFA World Cup in Italy.
Managing career
After his active career, Toni Schall became a football coach with Swiss club FC Basel in the 1946/47 season. Anton Schall, who suffered from a rare heart disease, led Basel to the Swiss Cup victory He soon died after that at the age of 40.
