Basehor, Kansas
Basehor is a city in Leavenworth County, Kansas, United States. It is a suburb of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. In 2020, 6,896 people lived there.[3]

Geography
Basehor is at 39°8′7″N 94°55′45″W / 39.13528°N 94.92917°W (39.135325, -94.929047). The United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 7.24 square miles (18.75 km2). Of that, 7.14 square miles (18.49 km2) is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 km2) is water.[2]

2020 census
The 2020 census says that there were 6,896 people, 2,531 households, and 1,968 families living in Basehor. Of the households, 82.1% owned their home and 17.9% rented their home.
The median age was 39.1 years. Of the people, 87.7% were White, 2.4% were Black, 1.2% were Asian, 0.5% were Native American, 1.4% were from some other race, and 6.9% were two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.4% of the people.[3][5]

The 2010 census says that there were 4,613 people, 1,751 households, and 1,337 families living in Basehor.[6]
Education
Basehor is served by USD 458 Basehor Linwood. The district high school is Basehor-Linwood High School located in Basehor.[7]
