Black Swan (movie)
Black Swan is a 2010 American psychological drama thriller movie set in New York City. It was produced by Ari Handel, Scott Franklin, Mike Medavoy, Arnold Messer and Brian Oliver and directed by Darren Aronofsky. The movie was released in Italy on September 1, 2010 and on December 3, 2010 in North America. The movie received positive reviews with a 88% on Rotten Tomatoes which is "certified fresh" and has a 79 rating out of 100 on Metacritic. The movie is based on the ballet, Swan Lake. The movie won the Academy Award for Best Actress, the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Motion Picture Drama, the Broadcast Film Critics Association Award for Best Actress, and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for the movie.
