History
Bluff City was created about 1879.[4] The city was named after Bluff Creek, which goes near it.[5]
Bluff City was a station and shipping point on the Kansas Southwestern Railway.[6]
Geography
Bluff City is at 37°4′32″N 97°52′31″W / 37.07556°N 97.87528°W (37.075671, -97.875376).[7] The United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 0.51 square miles (1.32 km2). All of it is land.[2]
Weather
Bluff City has hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Bluff City has a humid subtropical climate, abbreviated "Cfa" on climate maps.[8]

2020 census
The 2020 census says that there were 45 people, 21 households, and 11 families living in Bluff City. Of the households, 76.2% owned their home and 23.8% rented their home.
The median age was 53.3 years. Of the people, 88.9% were White and 11.1% were two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 8.9% of the people.[3][9]

The 2010 census says that there were 65 people, 29 households, and 13 families living in Bluff City.[10]
