Captain Phillips (movie)

Captain Phillips is a 2013 action thriller movie based on the true events of the Maersk Alabama hijacking in 2009. It stars Tom Hanks, Faysal Ahmed and Barkhad Abdi. The movie is based on the book by Captain Richard Phillips A Captain's Duty: Somali Pirates, Navy SEALs, and Dangerous Days at Sea (2010). It was released to positive reviews on October 11, 2013. Barkhad Abdi received an Oscar nomination.
