Choe Thae-bok

Choe Thae-bok (1 December 1930[1] – 20 January 2024) was a North Korean politician. He is a member of the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Workers' Party of Korea. He was Chairman (speaker) of the Supreme People's Assembly for nearly 21 years, from 1998 to 2019. He was an advisor to Kim Jong-il.[2]

Choe died from a heart attack on 20 January 2024, at the age of 93.[3]
