Cracker Barrel
The Cracker Barrel is an American chain of restaurant and gift stores. They have a Southern country theme. The company was founded 1969 in Lebanon, Tennessee. The chain's stores were at first near Interstate Highway exits in the Southeastern and Midwestern United States. They expanded across the country in the 1990s and 2000s.[1]
The menu of Cracker Barrel is based on Southern cuisine. It also has an appearance and decor designed to look similar to an old-fashioned general store.
Destinations magazine presented the chain with awards for best chain restaurant.[2] In 2010 and 2011 the Zagat survey named it the Best Restaurant.[3]
