Dexter King
Dexter Scott King (January 30, 1961 – January 22, 2024) was an American civil rights activist. He was the son of activists Coretta Scott King and Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.. He was the brother of Martin Luther King III, Bernice King and Yolanda Denise King.
King was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He was named for Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama.[1]
King was seven years old when his father was murdered.[2]
King died of prostate cancer at his home in Malibu, California, on January 22, 2024, at the age of 62, just eight days short of his 63rd birthday.[3][4]
