Drew S. Days III
Drew Saunders Days III (August 29, 1941 – November 15, 2020)[1] was an American lawyer and politician. He was Solicitor General of the United States from 1993 to 1996 under President Bill Clinton. He alsowas the first African American Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division in the Carter Administration from 1977 to 1980.[2]
He was the Alfred M. Rankin Professor of Law at Yale Law School.[3] He was born in Atlanta, Georgia.
Days died on November 15, 2020 in New Haven, Connecticut at the age of 79.[4]
