Rijeka
Rijeka (Italian: Fiume, Hungarian: Fiume, Slovene: Reka, German: Sankt Veit am Flaum) is a city in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Croatia. It is the third-largest city in Croatia (after Zagreb and Split). About 128,000 people lived there in 2011.
Rijeka is on Kvarner Gulf, an inlet of the Adriatic Sea. Because of its port, the city was historically important. It was the Kingdom of Hungary's largest and most important port. Shipbuilding is an important part of the economy.
