Glenn McDuffie
Glenn Edward McDuffie (May 31, 1927 – March 9, 2014) was an American retired World War II soldier. He was known for being the subject of Alfred Eisenstaedt's photograph V-J Day in Times Square.[1] He was kissing nurse Edith Shain because World War II ended.
McDuffie was born in Kannapolis, North Carolina. He died on March 9, 2014 in Dallas, Texas from a heart attack, aged 86.[2]
