Wu Qingyuan (simplified Chinese: 吴清源; traditional Chinese: 吳清源; pinyin: Wú Qīngyuán;[1] June 12, 1914 – November 30, 2014), also known as Go Seigen, was a Japanese Go player.

He was thought by many other Go players as one of the greatest Go players in its history. Seigen turned 100 in June 2014. Seigen was born in Fuzhou, Fujian, China.

Seigen died in Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan from natural causes, aged 100.[2]
