Gruyère (German: [Greyerzer] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help)) is a hard yellow cheese from Switzerland. It is produced in the village with the same name. It is made from the milk of cows. Gruyère is sweet but slightly salty, with a flavor that varies widely with age.
