Features
The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max have a display cutout called "Dynamic Island".[4][5][6] This replaces the notch design that were on iPhones since the iPhone X. It also has an always on display.[7] That means when you "turn off" the phone, the screen stays dim. They can also call emergency services and send location through a satellite.[8][9]
In the United States, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max (as well as the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus) dont have SIM cards.[10] This means they don't have a separate slot for inserting a SIM card.[11] Instead, they use eSIM.[12]
They come with iOS 16. They will be able to install other versions like iOS 17 when they come out.
Design
It has three cameras, a flashlight, microphone, and a LiDAR sensor on the back.[15]
The phone comes in four colors. There is a new color called "Deep Purple". This color replaced the "Sierra Blue" it had on the iPhone 13 Pro.
