Julia Cavassos[1] (better known as Julia Michaels; born November 13, 1993)[2] is an American singer and songwriter. She is best known for her single "Issues". The song peaked at #11 on the United States Billboard Hot 100. It was marked double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Michaels' EP album, Nervous System, was released on July 28, 2017.[3]
Her second single is "Uh Huh". This song was released on June 2, 2017.
Michaels said her inspirations were Fiona Apple, Laura Marling and Paramore.
Michaels was born in Davenport, Iowa. She later moved to Santa Clarita, California, a suburb of Los Angeles.
