Kamal Ganzouri
Kamal Ganzouri (Arabic: كمال الجنزورى, IPA: [kæˈmæːl elɡænˈzuːɾi]; 12 January 1933 – 31 March 2021) was an Egyptian economist and politician. He was the Prime Minister of Egypt from 7 December 2011 to 24 July 2012. He was also prime minister from 1996 to 1999.[1] He succeeded Atef Sedki and was succeeded by Atef Ebeid. He was called Minister of the Poor and the Opposition Minister. This was because of how he dealt with poor people and the opposition. Before becoming prime minister, Ganzouri was Minister of Planning and International Cooperation.[2] On 24 November 2011, Egypt's military rulers made him prime minister.[3] He took office on 7 December 2011.[4]
