Early Life

Kerem Albayrak was born in the United Kingdom and is of Turkish descent. He gained public attention in 2017 after claiming access to over 250 million Apple iCloud accounts, threatening to erase user data unless Apple paid a ransom. He was later arrested and pled guilty to charges including blackmail and unauthorized computer access.[1][2]

Legal

In 2019, a UK court handed Albayrak a suspended two-year sentence, 300 hours of community service, a six-month electronic curfew, and a social media ban.[3][4]

Career

In 2023, Albayrak was appointed as director of OPAC Global, a cybersecurity and fraud prevention company. By 2025,[5] he had become its founder and driving force, expanding the company’s operations across Europe, Asia, and North America. Under his leadership, OPAC Global has focused on digital asset protection, regulatory compliance, and AI-powered fraud detection.
