KidzSearch Encyclopedia:Article Cup/Stub 10

The cup is now over and the winners are Either way, Sonia and PiRSquared17.

The Stub Cup is an informal wikicontest. The idea of the cup is to promote stub expanding, by rewarding users for expanding stubs to regular, good and very good articles. The cup will start on May 1, 00:00 UTC and end on June 30, 23:59 UTC– a period of 2 months.

The volunteer judges of this contest are , and . They will count the points and decide who the winners are. If you need any advice, feel free to contact them.

Scoring

The scoring system works as follows:

• If you get a stub to a Regular Article, you will get 1 point.
  • For an article of 1500 to 2199 bytes of text you get 1 point.
  • From 2200 bytes of text and for every additional 700 bytes of text you get 1 extra point.
  • If it is unreferenced, you only get half the points it is worth.
• If you get a stub promoted to Good Article status, you will get 25 extra points.
• If you get a stub promoted to Very Good Article status, you will get 50 extra points.

• If the stub is in this list, the points you get for expanding it will be doubled. If it is bold they will be tripled.

Further bonus points may be added at the community's discretion. Likewise, penalties can also be given.
