Linn is a city in Washington County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, 387 people lived there.[3]

History

Linn was founded in 1877.[4] It was named after Lewis F. Linn, a U.S. Senator from Missouri.[5]

The first post office in Linn was founded in January 1878.[6]

Geography

Linn is at 39°40′49″N 97°5′8″W / 39.68028°N 97.08556°W / 39.68028; -97.08556 (39.680240, -97.085422).[7]

According to the United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 0.34 square miles (0.88 km2). All of it is land.[2]

2020 census

The 2020 census says that there were 387 people, 153 households, and 94 families living in Linn. Of the households, 64.7% owned their home and 35.3% rented their home.

The median age was 42.3 years. Of the people, 80.9% were White, 0.5% were Native American, 10.9% were from some other race, and 7.8% were two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 22.7% of the people.[3][8]

2010 census

The 2010 census says that there were 410 people, 152 households, and 97 families living in the city.[9]
