List of tallest buildings in North America
Eleven buildings in North America (all in the United States) have held the title of tallest building in the world, with 9 in New York City.[1]
Canada and Mexico also have skyscrapers, especially in Toronto, Calgary, Mexico City and Monterrey. In addition, Panama City has skyscraper building activities. They list a total of 49 buildings over 150 meters in height.
United States
The United States is considered the birthplace of the skyscraper. They have the world's first skyscraper built in Chicago in 1885. Since then, the United States has been home to some of the world's tallest skyscrapers. The tallest are in New York City and Chicago.
