Louis Aliot

Louis Aliot (French: [aljo]; born 4 September 1969) is a French politician, a lawyer by profession, and the vice president of the National Rally (previously named National Front) since 16 January 2011.[1] Louis Aliot is the mayor of Perpignan since July 3, 2020.

Biography

Louis Aliot was born on 4 September 1969[2] in Toulouse.[3]

Member of the National Assembly for Pyrénées-Orientales's 2nd constituency

For the legislative elections of 2017, Louis Aliot is a candidate in the second constituency of the Pyrénées-Orientales, which is considered to be more favourable than the first one.[4]

At the end of the first round of the election, he came first ahead of the candidate of the Democratic Movement, Christine Espert, with 30.80% of the votes cast.[5] He was elected on 18 June, with 50.56% of the votes cast and 452 votes against Christine Espert.[6]

On 15 March, his list topped the first round with 35.65 % of the vote, well ahead of the outgoing mayor, Jean-Marc Pujol (18.43 %).[7]
