Martin Rodbell (December 1, 1925 – December 7, 1998) was an American Biochemist and Molecular endocrinologist.

He is best known for discovering G-proteins and he won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1994 for "their discovery of G-proteins and the role of these proteins in signal transduction in cells.". He shared the prize with Alfred G. Gilman.[1]

He died on December 7, 1998 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.[1]
