Alfred Goodman Gilman (July 1, 1941 – December 23, 2015) was an American pharmacologist and biochemist.
He is best known for his discoveries regarding G-proteins.[1] For his discovery, Gilman won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1994. He shared the prize with Martin Rodbell[1]
Gilman died after a long battle with pancreatic cancer in Dallas, Texas on December 23, 2015 at the age of 74.[2]
