Mohammad Khaled Hossain

Mohammed Khaled Hossain (Bengali: মোহাম্মদ খালেদ হোসেন), also known as Sajal Khaled (October 30, 1978 – May 21, 2013) was a Bangladeshi mountaineer and movie director. He was the fifth Bangladeshi to reach the top of Mount Everest. [1][2] He reached the summit around 10:00am and 11:00am BST on 21 May 2013 and hoisted the flag of Bangladesh. He died while climbing back down. The accident might have occurred a few hours after he had reached the peak.

Education

Khaled Hossain (Sajal) studied at Adamjee Cantonment Public School & College. He passed his SSC in 1993 and HSC in 1995. Sajal graduated with a bachelor's degree (Hons.) in computer science and a master's degree in film studies.

Family

Mohammad Khaled Hossain is the youngest child of his parents. His father's name is Abdul Aziz and mother's name is Sufia Begum. He got married to Tahmina Khan Saily, an entrepreneur. Their only son is Susmit Hossain.[3]

Mountain climbing

Khaled got to the peak between 10:00am and 11:00am on the day. The accident might have occurred a few hours after he had reached the summit.
