Mount Saint Elias
Mount Saint Elias is a 5,489-metre (18,009 ft) high mountain in Canada and the United States.[1] It is also known as Boundary Peak 186.[1] Mount Saint Elias is on the border of Alaska and the Yukon. It is the 2nd highest mountain in Canada and in the United States.[2]
Mount Saint Elias the first part of the North American mainland to be seen by Russian explorers, in 1741.[3]
The first people to reach the top were Luigi Amedeo (Duke of Abruzzi) and his expedition, in 1897.[4][5]
