Ness City, Kansas
Ness City is a city in Ness County, Kansas, United States.[4] It is also the county seat of Ness County. In 2020, 1,329 people lived there.[3] Ness City is famous for its four-story Old Ness County Bank Building in downtown, and nicknamed Skyscraper of the Plains.

History
Ness City was created in 1878.[5] The town grew a lot when a railroad was built there in 1886.[6]
Geography
Ness City is at 38°27′15″N 99°54′17″W / 38.45417°N 99.90472°W (38.454055, -99.904656). The United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 1.46 square miles (3.78 km2). All of it is land.[2]

2020 census
The 2020 census says that there were 1,329 people, 595 households, and 340 families living in Ness City. Of the households, 79.5% owned their home and 20.5% rented their home.
The median age was 48.8 years. Of the people, 86.1% were White, 0.6% were Native American, 0.1% were Black, 8.2% were from some other race, and 5.0% were two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 14.1% of the people.[3][8]
2010 census
The 2010 census says that there were 1,449 people, 635 households, and 392 families living in Ness City.[9]
