Resident Evil 2 (1998 video game)
Resident Evil 2, known in Japan as Biohazard 2 (バイオハザード2), is a survival horror video game developed and published by Capcom. It is the second game in the Resident Evil series. It inspired a remake.

Gameplay
The game can let players play as either Leon Kennedy or Claire Redfield of S.T.A.R.S.

Producer Shinji Mikami withdrew from his hands-on role in development after creative disagreements with the director.
A port of Resident Evil 2 to the Dreamcast added support for the Visual Memory Unit, which displays the condition of the player character.
