Serdar Berdimuhamedow

Serdar Gurbanguliyevich Berdimuhamedov (Turkmen pronunciation: [θɛɾdɑɾ ɢʊɾbɑnʁʊˈlɯjɛβɪtʃ bɛɾdɯmʊxɑmɛˈdoβ]; Russian: Сердар Курбанкулиевич Бердымухаметов, tr. Serdar Kurbankuliyevich Berdymukhametov; born 22 September 1981) is a Turkmen politician. He is the 3rd and current President of Turkmenistan since 2022.[1]

He is the only son[2] of Turkmenistan's dictator Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.[3][4][5]

From 2016 until 2019, he was a member of the Assembly of Turkmenistan. From 2019 until 2020, he was the Governor of the Ahal Region.
