Sixto Brillantes
Sixto Serrano Brillantes, Jr. (August 14, 1939 – August 11, 2020) was a Filipino election lawyer. He was the chairman of the Commission on Elections from 2011 to 2015. He was appointed by President Benigno Aquino III on January 16, 2011.[1][2] He was born in Manila.
On July 25, 2020 he was diagnosed with COVID-19 and was hospitalized in Manila.[3] He died from the infection on August 11, 2020 at the age of 80.[4]
