South India is often used to refer to the states and territories in the southern part of the Republic of India. In general, one of the following is meant:
- Andhra Pradesh
- Telangana
- Karnataka
- Kerala
- Tamil Nadu
- Lakshadweep, a group of Islands, and union territory
- Puducherry or Pondicherry, another union territory made up of city states along the coast.
