Alexandra Tara Reade (born February 26, 1964) is an American writer. She was a legislative assistant for the United States Senate.[1] She was born in Monterey County, California.

In April 2019, Reade said that in 1993 Joe Biden touched her in a way that made her “feel uncomfortable” during his time as a Senator for Delaware.[2] In March of 2020, she said that he sexually assaulted her.[3] Reade says that at the time of the alleged assault she told her brother and a friend about the alleged attack.[4]

In May 2020, it was revealed that attorney Douglas Wigdor would be representing Reade pro bono. He is known for representing six women who alleged sexual misconduct by Harvey Weinstein.[5]
