Tim Pigott-Smith

Timothy Peter Pigott-Smith OBE (13 May 1946 – 7 April 2017) was an English movie and television actor and author. He won the Fantasporto Award for Best Actor in 2002 for his role in Bloody Sunday. He was known for his role as Creedy in the 2005 movie V for Vendetta. He won a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in 1985.

Pigott-Smith was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2017 New Year Honours for services to drama.[1]

Pigott-Smith was born in Rugby, Warwickshire.[2] He studied at Bristol University. In 1972, he married Pamela Miles. Pigott-Smith died on 7 April 2017 in Northampton, Northamptonshire from a suspected heart attack, aged 70.[3]
