History

Shannon Waldron was inspired to develop Urban Fêtes after attending a festival.[5] The name Fetês comes from French and means party. After completing her training at Southern Illinois University, Shannon incorporated this concept and founded Urban Fêtes.[6][7] Initially starting with small meetings that included professional friends and recent graduates from his university, he later developed a database of contacts that helped him establish a demographic profile of newcomers.[8]

In 2019, Urban Fêtes started a movement of 12 silent parties for Chicago Public Schools students to boost their morale when schools were canceled during the Chicago Teachers Union strike.[9]

Business

Urban Fêtes has achieved a large number of fans thanks to its unique concept of silent discos, the events are held in different locations and each participant receives a headset.[10] They identify the different trends in popular culture and develop campaigns to effectively reach their target audiences, offering their clients fascinating marketing strategies through social media, digital trends, technology, public relations, and brand associations.[11] has hosted events at Long Beach's At The Top,[8] SXSW, A3C Music Festival, and Barcadia.[9]
