Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense
Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense (also known as ヴィジランテ8〜セカンドバトル〜 (Vigilante 8 2nd Battle) in Japan) is a vehicular combat video game published by Activision and developed by Luxoflux. It is the sequel to the 1998 video game Vigilante 8. It was released for the PlayStation, Dreamcast, and Nintendo 64. A game was planned for the Game Boy Advance but was cancelled.[4]

It was released for the PlayStation on October 31, 1999 in North America, December 31, 1999 in Europe and on February 24, 2000 in Japan.[1] It was also released for the Dreamcast on November 30, 1999 in North America, on February 18, 2000 in Europe and on March 23, 2000 in Japan,[2] as well as the Nintendo 64 on February 2, 2000 in North America and on February 25, 2000 in Europe.[3]
During the games development, there were pictures that were published which showed Molo's school bus as a ten-wheeler. It was redesigned because of the fallout from the Columbine massacre.[5]
Reception
IGN rated the game a 8.0 out of 10 for the Nintendo 64[6] and a 8.2 out of 10 for the PlayStation.[7]
GameSpot gave the game a 7.7 out of 10 for the Nintendo 64[8] and 7.5 out of 10 for the PlayStation.[9]
