Wollongong, New South Wales

Wollongong (Dharawal: Woolyungah) is a city in New South Wales, Australia. It is on the eastern coast of Australia, 82 km (51.0 mi), just over one hour from the south of Sydney and 2.5 hours from Canberra.[1] It is the third largest city in New South Wales, after Sydney and Newcastle. It has passenger trains to and from Sydney.[2]

Wollongong Breakwater Lighthouse (21351551761)
- Launched in April 1861 at the yard of Walter Hood & Co., the vessel was lost on 31st May 1881 when bound out to Sydney. All were saved except one crewman.
