The African Great Lakes (Swahili: Maziwa Makuucode: sw is deprecated ) are a series of lakes making up the part of the Rift Valley lakes in and around the East African Rift. It is bordered by Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania.
