The African Great Lakes (Swahili: [Maziwa Makuu] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help)) are a series of lakes making up the part of the Rift Valley lakes in and around the East African Rift. It is bordered by Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania.
