Antoine Valois-Fortier (born March 13, 1990) is a Canadian former athlete. He is best known as a judoka.[1]
History
He was the winner of the Canadian National Judo Championship in the -81 kg category in 2010.[2]
Valois-Fortier won a bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, defeating Travis Stevens of the United States in the men's 81 kg half-middleweight judo.[3] It was the Canada's first medal in Olympic Judo since 2000 when his coach Nicolas Gill won a silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics.[4]
On December 2, 2021, Valois-Fortier announced that he was retiring and was going to become a coach for the Canadian national team.[5]
