As-Suwayda
As-Suwayda (Arabic: السويداء / ALA-LC: as-Suwaydā’), also spelled Sweida, is a city in southern Syria. Its people mainly follow Druzism. It is the capital of Muhafazat as-Suwayda', one of Syria's 14 governorates. It is located close to the border with Jordan.
