Bill Farmer

William "Bill" Farmer (born November 14, 1952) is an American voice actor, comedian and impressionist.[1] He is best known for being the current voice of the Disney character Goofy, since 1986.[1] He also voices Pluto, Horace Horsecollar and many other Disney characters. He was born in Pratt, Kansas.[1] At age 10 he was already doing voice impressions.[2] While in college he worked in radio and television. He worked as a stand-up comedian. In late 1986 he was one of hundreds of voice actors competing for a few roles at Disney studios.[2] He got the voice acting job for Goofy, one of his favorite characters growing up.[2][3] He has been the voice of Goofy ever since.[3] In 2009 Farmer was named a Disney Legend.[3]
