Gaynor Hopkins (born 8 June 1951),[1] known as Bonnie Tyler, is a Welsh singer, songwriter, and philanthropist.[2]

She has had several major hit songs such as "Holding Out for a Hero", "Lost in France," "It's a Heartache" and "Total Eclipse of the Heart" which became major hits in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Tyler represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö with the song "Believe in Me". The song finished in 19th place.[3]

Awards and nominations

Tyler was nominated for a Grammy Award three times and a Brit Award three times. She was awarded an MBE in 2022.
