Des Moines is a city in Iowa. It is the capital city of Iowa. The city had a population of 214,133 in the 2020 United States Census.[6] It is the home of the Des Moines Art Center, a regional art museum, and the Pappajohn Sculpture Park, an outdoor sculpture garden.
