Dresden is a city in Decatur County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, 43 people lived there.[3]

History

Dresden was created in 1888.[4] It was named by German settlers after the city of Dresden, in Germany.[5][6]

The first post office in Dresden was created in October 1888.[7]

Dresden was a station on the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad.[8]

Dresden is at 39°37′22″N 100°25′09″W / 39.62278°N 100.41917°W / 39.62278; -100.41917 (39.622762, -100.41905).

According to the United States Census Bureau says that the city has a total area of 0.90 square miles (2.33 km2). All of it is land.[2]

2020 census

The 2020 census says that there were 43 people, 20 households, and 7 families living in the city.

The median age was 53.5 years. Of the people, 93.0% were White and 7.0% were two or more races. None were Hispanic or Latino.[3][9]

2010 census

The 2010 census says that there were 41 people, 19 households, and 12 families living in the city.[10]
