Ezra Vogel

Ezra Feivel Vogel (traditional Chinese: 傅高義; simplified Chinese: 傅高义; pinyin: Fù Gāoyì; July 11, 1930 – December 20, 2020) was an American scholar and japanologist. He was the Professor of the Social Sciences at Harvard University. He wrote about modern Japan, China, Korea, and Asia. He was known for his 1978 volume Japan as Number One: Lessons for America. In 2011, he won the Lionel Gelber Prize.
