Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda

The Reich Ministry for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda (German: Reichsministerium für Volksaufklärung und Propaganda or Propagandaministerium) was a ministry in Weimar Germany and Nazi Germany that enforced Nazi Party ideology in Germany. It regulated its culture and society. The ministry was founded on 13 March 1933, by Adolf Hitler's new National Socialist government. The head of this ministry was Dr. Joseph Goebbels. He was responsible for controlling the press and culture of Weimar Republic and Nazi Germany.
This ministry existed until 1945, when the Second World War ended.
