The New Mexico Legislature (Spanish: Legislatura de Nuevo Méxicocode: es is deprecated ) is the legislative branch of the state government of New Mexico. It is made up of two parts: New Mexico House of Representatives (lower house) and New Mexico Senate (upper house). Both are currently controlled by the Democratic Party.^[1]^[2]
