History

Sero Electric was founded in 2010 in Buenos Aires by Pablo Naya with the goal of developing and producing the first electric car in the automotive industry of Argentina. The inspiration behind Sero's vehicles came from the microcars found in Europe.[2]

The project was launched in 2015, with $4 million invested in its development. In 2019, the development phase concluded, and the microcars were unveiled in September.[3] The Sero Sedan was designed for civilian use, while the Sero Cargo was developed for commercial applications. In February 2021, the company established a partnership with Movi Electric, a Brazilian company that began producing Sero's models in Brazil.[4]
