Shirley Manson

Shirley Ann Manson (born 26 August 1966) is a Scottish singer, songwriter, musician and actress. She was born in Edinburgh. She is best known for being the main singer of the rock band Garbage. They have released 7 albums.

Career

Between 1992 and 1994 Manson was a member of a rock band called Angelfish. In 1994 Manson joined Garbage. They released their first album, Garbage, the next year. The first single released from the album was "Vow". The single "Stupid Girl" reached number four in the UK. It was their best selling single in the United States. In 1998 Garbage's second album Version 2.0 was released. It was number one in the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, and New Zealand. Six singles were released from the album. Beautifulgarbage was released in 2001. In 2005 Bleed Like Me was released. Not Your Kind of People, Garbage's fifth album, was released in 2013. And two next albums : Strange Little Birds (2016). No Gods No Masters (2021).

In 2013 Manson made a cover of "Because the Night" with Screaming Females.

Manson acted in eighteen episodes of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Personal life

She is a feminist.[1] Her first relationship was with her music teacher when she was fifteen years old.[2] She married Billy Bush in 2010.
