Spencer Bachus

Spencer Bachus (born December 28, 1947) is an American politician.[1] He served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1993 to 2015.[1] A member of the Republican Party, he served as chairman of the House Financial Services Committee (2011–2013).

Bachus was born on December 28, 1947 in Birmingham, Alabama.[2] He graduated in 1969 from Auburn University. In 1972 he graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law.[1] He is married to Linda Bachus. They have five children.
