Steve Koven
Steve Koven is a Canadian Jazz pianist and member of the Steve Koven Trio. Steve Koven is a composer, performer and educator.[1] In 1993 Steve started the Steve Koven Trio. He performs worldwide with his trio. Koven also performs solo piano concerts throughout North America, Europe and the Caribbean. After nine albums with his trio, Koven has gone solo.[1]
Dozens of Koven’s compositions have been licensed for national and international film and television productions. As an educator, Koven has been teaching in the Faculty of Music at York University since 2003.[2] He teaches Contemporary Improvisation and Jazz Piano. Koven also teaches Music at Toronto's Centennial College.[1] He holds a Masters in Music Composition.[3] Koven has presented master classes and clinics in China, Japan, Colombia, Barbados, Bahamas and Mexico.
Steve lives in Toronto with his wife Lee-Anne.
