It was held on October 14, 2012 at the Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. It was the eighth Bound for Glory event that TNA held. This was the first time that TNA held an event in the state of Arizona.

There were eight matches on the card. The main event saw Jeff Hardy defeat Austin Aries to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
